Training

Lusignan personnel are required to attend a formal eight-week security training program. Once each week the security officers will meet for instruction and reviews. Written and oral exams must be passed before a trainee completes the course.

Areas covered in the training package for security personnel include:

• Report Writing
• Medical Emergencies
  (Trained and certified in CPR and First Aid)
• Fire Procedures
• Power Outages
• Bomb Threats
• Elevator Emergencies
• Building/Floor Evacuation Procedures
• Suicide Awareness
• Safety Awareness and Precautions

When a trainee successfully completes the course, he/she is certified as a trained security officer and is eligible for consideration for advancement. Periodic review and refresher courses are part of our ongoing program.
